Pascalia Group is an independent software house equipped with cutting-edge technologies and an environment to address global challenges. Founded in 1988, Pascalia Asia emerged in 2015 with an ambidextrous management concept. Their operations revolve around four key areas: current business, new business, and domestic and international business. Additionally, Pascalia Group has a holding company in Japan and branch companies in Laos and Vietnam.
The Problem
Initially, the Pascalia Company had two separate websites for its domestic division in Japan and internationally in the Vietnam region. Therefore, Pascalia intends to do branding and combine the two websites into one, under the name Pascalia Group. Apart from branding, they also want to take advantage of the website to carry out open recruitment for job seekers. Also, it should be noted that their website at that time was still using the old design.
The Goal
In dealing with these issues, we took several steps to improve the user experience on the client’s website. We are rebranding to create a more relevant and attractive brand identity for our target customers. In addition, we combined the two websites into one integrated entity, updated the information structure, and improved the user interface (UI) and user experience (UX). We also added a recruitment page on the new website to make it easier for job seekers.
Understand Client Needs
This project begins with a meeting with the client to conduct interviews, collect information, and identify the features that will be on the Pascalia Group website. Based on the results of the meeting, we highlighted several important points, including rebranding goals, and corporate identity, and provided content recommendations for building the desired website.
The Moodboard
After getting important information from the client, the next step we take is to create a moodboard. The moodboard aims to help visualize concepts, understand client preferences, and create consistent design guidelines. Inside the moodboard, we curate a carefully selected collection of photos, colors, and text.
Sitemap
After designing the moodboard, we completed the sitemap by adding an information structure about open recruitment and adapting it to the existing sitemap. Creating a sitemap aims to increase the visibility of a website and increase the likelihood that visitors will find relevant pages. Below is the sitemap that we have created.
UI & UX Design Crafting
After mapping out the content structure, the next step is to design the user interface (UI) for the Pascalia Group website. We apply an A/B testing approach in this design process by creating two different design variants. The main objective is to compare the performance of the two design variants in order to make better decisions, such as fully adopting the more effective variant, making changes to the less optimal variant, or continuing testing with a new design variation. We produce responsive designs for web and mobile displays so that they can be accessed properly on various devices.
The Result
After receiving feedback and going through several iterations, the client finally decided on the final design for their website. We managed to create a new website that met their requirements well. This website combines information from domestic and international websites and successfully adds an open recruitment page containing relevant information. Content in English, Japanese, and Vietnamese is clearly separated, and the layout remains consistent
