Timedoor Indonesia, headquartered in Bali Province, Republic of Indonesia and represented by Yutaka Tokunaga, hereinafter referred to as “Timedoor,” has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Hachimonji Gakuen, an educational institution headquartered in Mito City, Ibaraki Prefecture and represented by Vice Chairman Tomohiro Hachimonji, and College 8 Co., Ltd., headquartered in Chuo-ku, Tokyo and represented by President and Representative Director Masafumi Inoue.

Under this Memorandum of Understanding, the three parties will conduct joint research and explore opportunities for collaboration in education, study abroad, vocational education, career development, and employment support between Indonesia and Japan by leveraging their respective expertise, networks, and educational resources.

Hachimonji Gakuen currently operates five vocational schools in Mito City, Ibaraki Prefecture, offering programs in automotive maintenance, IT, gaming and animation, nursing, beauty, business, and hospitality.

The three parties will primarily explore opportunities for collaboration in the following areas:

• Providing Indonesian students with information about studying, continuing their education, and finding employment in Japan
• Coordinating Japanese-language education, vocational education, career education, and employment-preparation programs
• Developing human resources in fields including automotive services, IT, hospitality, elderly care, nursing, electrical engineering, manufacturing, and animation
• Researching qualification acquisition, residence-status procedures, internships, and employment support in Japan
• Jointly considering information sessions, training programs, study visits, and pilot programs for students and their parents
• Jointly considering the establishment of new educational institutions in Indonesia

These areas have been defined as subjects for consideration under the Memorandum of Understanding.

Future Outlook

Going forward, the three parties will conduct research into the education and human-resource markets of both countries. They will also examine the feasibility of organizing information sessions for students and parents, Japanese-language and academic-preparation programs, educational curricula, corporate partnerships, the establishment of new schools, and small-scale demonstration projects.
